THE PERSON BEHIND THE EDITS :)

My work as a video editor is rooted in a lifelong creative practice of singing, songwriting, painting and graphic design. Each has shaped the way I approach storytelling, rhythm, pacing and visual composition.I learned video editing during the pandemic when live music came to a halt and I replaced my performances with online videos. I was hooked immediately. Video editing brought together everything I already loved doing into one creative medium.Before long, other musicians were hiring me to create music videos for their YouTube channels. That work led to a full-time role creating hundreds of talking-head and documentary-style videos designed to build a company's profile, reach other businesses and support its growth.Since then, I've continued creating videos for my own projects while producing marketing videos for Mayne Island Resort and the Time Away From the Noise online documentary series.I've also been promoting my own music and art shows since 1998. That experience has given me a sharp eye for marketing and audience engagement. I don't just edit footage. I look for the story that will connect with people and leave a lasting impression.
